‘Those Who Don’t Know The Rules Can’t Break Them’ And Other Lessons I Needed To Learn

When you go to University, you learn the right way how to do everything. Then you come to the real world and learn how things are really done.

And to this day as a Veterinarian I keep learning ‘what CAN be done’ versus ‘what’s SUPPOSE to be done’.

Take today for example – met a person who changes the water in his goldfish tank every week – he pours all the water out and refills it with tap water! If any of you out there keep fish, you would know that you are Never, Never suppose to do that. It gets better – he feeds his goldfish Leftovers! That’s right – food scraps. I planned to criticize him but the fish is already 5 years old and it’s a little late to go telling him that he is doing it all wrong.

Maybe it’s me who needs to get into the real world.
