China – The Superpower Of Cruelty

We are often told about China’s growing wealth and bog ambitions. It is said that China will soon overtake the US as the world’s biggest economy and a new superpower. But unlike so many economic optimists out there I don’t foresee a bright future. Maybe it’s because I know little about the way the Chinese culture and State treat animals.

There is still no law in China to make animal cruelty illegal. That mean no way to punish or prosecute the numerous dog fighting rings, dog meat traders, starving and tortured guard dogs.

I strongly feel that instead of praising China’s economic progress, our leaders should be spending more time demanding that cruelty laws are introduced and perpetrators are punished. I fear my pleas are falling on deaf ears.

  1. This makes me so incredibly angry. Those people should be tortured.
