Emma Watson’s Choice Of Pet May Be More Sensible Then First Appears

After months of speculation Emma Watson has made public her favorite choice of pets. The rumored star of ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ would like to own a dragon.

Most of her fans have taken that to mean the fire-breathing, fairy tale dragon variety and are justifiably upset. To me, however this seems like a very reasonable choice. I am talking of course about keeping a Bearded Dragon.

Bearded Dragon is a type of lizard very popular as a pet reptile. To me this really is a perfect modern day pet. If you are a busy modern day professional with limited time and space, Bearded Dragon is a pet for you. They take little space, no walking time, and do not require extensive direct contact.

They are not that expensive to buy either. The biggest cost however is not the lizard but the enclosure. That’s where absolutely no skimping is allowed. Try to save money on the enclosure and the results are a disaster! The enclosure must be solid, made from non-toxic materials, with reliable temperature control and a source of UV-B. For those unfamiliar with the term, UV-B is a component of natural light lizards need to survive. It doesn’t pass through glass so an internal source is needed in the enclosure. Beside the initial installation costs, the ongoing maintenance of a lizard is very reasonable including, food and electricity to run the enclosure.

So despite what they say about Emma Watson, I say good choice. A Bearded Dragon is a very sensible choice for modern lifestyle.
