Head Camera For Dogs! Not Just A Police Tool

Staffordshore Police are trialling a camera which fits onto a police dog’s head:

“There are many situations when this technology will be beneficial to our officers.
“If we are searching for a dangerous person we can send the dog into a building with the camera to search for them and then when they indicate a find by barking, we will be able to see exactly what or who they have found.
“This will provide us with more information so we can deal with the situation safely and appropriately.
“It will also be extremely useful when searching difficult or inaccessible areas for missing people, because a dog can make its way through dense woodland and undergrowth very quickly.”

Great idea. But for me the possibilities don’t end with police work. With time the price of this equipment will go down and then… just imagine how many uses a dog head camera can have!

You could keep an eye on your dog, maybe the park or on an outing.

You could keep you Veterinarian honest while leaving your dog at a Vet clinic for a procedure.

The local council could keep watch on your dog to make sure all the poop is picked up properly.

And finally, forget video games and sitcoms. I imagine that playback of your dog’s exciting day would be much more entertaining.
