A Reporter Demonstrates How Not To Handle A Dog

This Is Very Dangerous

Please view the video link in this article. It could save your life. It’s a great demonstration of what a person should never do to a strange dog.

What is this reporter doing wrong? Well, where do I begin.

First – a dog in a stressful and unfamiliar situation (bright lights, unfamiliar people) is much more likely to show aggression, so give him some space and let him get comfortable.

Second – never smother the dog’s head with your hands and look into the dog’s eyes. This is a very threatening/aggressive posture and the dog will react defensively.

Third – never put your face close to the dog’s face.
